Special Event Permit

***COVID-19 UPDATE*** 

After thoughtful consideration of the guidelines provided by public health officials, the Village is cancelling all special events scheduled through the end of May 2020. Additionally, the Village will be postponing approval of special event applications until further notice.

Village staff will continue to monitor special event activity on a month by month basis, and will contact event organizers directly when necessary. 

The Village is happy to work with event organizers to reschedule a special event, when available.

If hosting a special event within the Village, event organizers are asked to review and submit a Special Event Application.

Additional Permits

Per the Special Event Permit Guidelines Document, there are a variety of special event activities that require additional permits or licenses. Below are links to these documents to assist you in the application process.

Any event in the Village of Glen Ellyn required to have a Special Event permit shall comply with the Illinois Concealed Carry Law.
