Stormwater Management

To provide management of stormwater within the Village of Glen Ellyn, the Community Development Department:

• Reviews permits and inspects developments for compliance with stormwater management and floodplain regulations.
• Provides advice to property owners in making drainage improvements.
• Answers questions about special management areas such as floodplains, wetlands, creeks, and streams.
• Provides property-specific information in or near regulatory floodplains, including floodplain elevation determinations.
• Coordinates with the Department of Public Works about storm sewer improvements and drainage studies.
